Warner Bros.' cinematic adaptation of "Wuthering Heights" has impressively held onto the leading spot at the box office in both the United Kingdom and Ireland for its second weekend, adding another £3.8 million ($5.3 million) to its earnings. This brings the film's cumulative gross to a substantial £16.2 million ($22.1 million), demonstrating its strong appeal to audiences across the regions. The movie's continued success highlights a robust performance in a competitive market, outpacing other releases and solidifying its position as a major draw.
Following "Wuthering Heights" in the rankings, "GOAT" secured the second position, raking in an additional $3.8 million and pushing its overall revenue to $14.3 million. Sony's distribution efforts also saw "Crime 101" land in third place, adding $1 million to reach a total of $4 million. These figures indicate a diverse audience interest across different genres, with several films performing commendably.
The long-running Disney animated feature, "Zootopia 2," maintained a strong presence in its thirteenth week of release, securing fourth place with $926,000, bringing its total to an impressive $48.6 million. New entries also made their mark, with Mubi's "The Secret Agent" debuting at fifth place with $566,000, closely followed by Studiocanal's "Cold Storage" at sixth with $544,000.
Further down the list, Disney's "Send Help" moved to seventh in its third weekend, earning an additional $465,000 for a total of $5.3 million. Lionsgate U.K.'s "Wasteman" commenced its run in eighth place with $450,000, while Universal's "The Moment" took ninth with $441,000. Rounding out the top ten was Entertainment Film Distributors' "Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die," which garnered $379,000.
Looking ahead, the market anticipates a significant boost with Paramount's forthcoming release, "Scream 7." Directed by Kevin Williamson and featuring Neve Campbell and Courteney Cox alongside a new cast, this latest installment of the popular horror series is expected to generate considerable excitement.
