This new awards program is specifically designed to celebrate the achievements of creators within the digital realm, encompassing a broad spectrum of content from podcasts to various forms of series, documentaries, and lifestyle programming.

The inaugural Critics Choice Creator Awards ceremony is scheduled for April 15, 2027. The categories for recognition are extensive and inclusive, featuring awards such as Best Creator of the Year, Best Podcast Host, Best Audio Podcast, Best Video Podcast, Best Comedy Creator, Best Drama Creator, Best Comedy Series, Best Micro-Drama Series, Best Business Series, Best Health/Wellness Creator, and Best Relationship Series Creator, among many others. Eligibility for submissions requires content to have been publicly available online between January 1 and December 31, 2026. The submission window opens on October 19, 2026, and closes on February 1, 2027, with nominations to be revealed on March 18, 2027.

This initiative underscores the Critics Choice Association's commitment to adapting to the dynamic entertainment landscape, where digital platforms are increasingly central to content creation and consumption. By acknowledging the ingenuity and impact of digital creators, the association aims to guide audiences in discovering high-quality content and to provide well-deserved recognition to the innovators shaping the future of entertainment. This forward-looking approach ensures that critical appreciation evolves alongside emerging artistic and storytelling mediums, fostering a vibrant and recognized community of digital talent.
