In a recent television appearance, acclaimed actor Ben Affleck delighted audiences by sharing his personal affinity for McDonald's during a charity episode of 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?'. His candid admission not only confirmed a long-standing public speculation about his fast-food preferences but also showcased his surprising knowledge of the menu, all while raising funds for a noble cause.

Affleck, an Academy Award winner, joined host Jimmy Kimmel on the special celebrity edition of the popular game show. Kimmel, known for his playful banter, introduced Affleck with a humorous jab referencing his friendly rivalry with Matt Damon, setting a lighthearted tone for the episode. The segment saw Affleck competing on behalf of the Eastern Congo Initiative, a charity dedicated to humanitarian efforts in the region.

During the competition, a question arose that was particularly pertinent to Affleck's public image: identifying a McDonald's sandwich served with only half a slice of cheese. This prompted Affleck to confess his frequent patronage of the fast-food giant, remarking, "I eat a lot of McDonald's — like a lot. All the time." This statement resonated with fans, many of whom recalled a viral photograph from 2022 showing him at a McDonald's in New York City.

Faced with the McDonald's question, Affleck opted to use a lifeline, polling the studio audience. The Filet-O-Fish emerged as the audience's top choice, a response Affleck agreed with, ultimately proving correct and earning him $32,000 for his chosen charity. Later, another question about the Spanish festival El Colacho (where men dressed as devils jump over babies) led Affleck to reflect on a previous appearance by Matt Damon on the show. He humorously noted how he had researched Spanish customs after Damon's appearance to alleviate his own insecurities about general knowledge, expressing gratitude to Damon for indirectly helping him with the current question.

The episode also touched upon Matt Damon's successful run on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?' in July 2025, where he and 'Jeopardy!' champion Ken Jennings won the $1 million prize for Water.org. This playful rivalry between Affleck and Damon, often orchestrated by Kimmel, adds an entertaining layer to their public interactions. Affleck's latest appearance provided an engaging blend of celebrity charm, competitive spirit, and philanthropic endeavor, leaving viewers with a memorable glimpse into his personal habits and the dynamics of his long-standing friendship with Damon.
