Her groundbreaking 1994 sitcom, “All-American Girl,” marked a historic moment as she became one of the first Asian American women to lead a primetime network series. Beyond her comedic prowess, Cho is a fervent advocate for anti-racism, anti-bullying, and gay rights, seamlessly blending humor with activism in her global “Choligarchy” stand-up tour.
Megan Stalter: A Fresh Voice in Vanguard Comedy
Megan Stalter is slated to receive the Vanguard Award, recognizing her as a leading innovator in comedy, acting, and writing. Stalter has garnered significant attention for her distinctive character work and sketch comedy, characterized by a bold and innovative approach. Her rising prominence has established her as a remarkable talent within her generation. Her recent role in Lena Dunham's Netflix series, “Too Much,” further solidifies her presence in the industry.
Mae Martin: Groundbreaking Storytelling and Creative Expression
Mae Martin will be honored with the Groundbreaker Award for their significant contributions as a writer, comedian, musician, and actor, particularly noted for their authentic and deeply personal narratives. Martin’s creative vision was prominently showcased in the Netflix limited series “Wayward,” which they created, co-showran, starred in, wrote for, and executive produced. The series achieved global success, becoming the platform’s most-watched TV series in its debut week. Additionally, Martin co-hosts the “Handsome” podcast and released a debut album last year.

An Evening of Recognition: Hosted by Trixie Mattel
The awards ceremony will be hosted by the charismatic Trixie Mattel and will be exclusively streamed on WOW Presents Plus, World of Wonder’s streaming service, starting March 19. The live event is scheduled for March 10 at The Avalon Hollywood in Los Angeles, with tickets currently available for purchase.
