Netflix has unveiled the eagerly awaited official trailer for the second season of its successful live-action adaptation, "One Piece: Into the Grand Line." Fans can mark their calendars for the March 10 premiere, as the trailer provides an exciting preview of Monkey D. Luffy's continued adventures. Creator Eiichiro Oda also shared his enthusiasm for the new season, which will see the Straw Hat pirates navigating the perilous Grand Line in pursuit of the ultimate treasure, encountering formidable adversaries and extraordinary islands along the way.
"One Piece" Global Fan Engagements and Series Triumphs
To amplify the excitement for the upcoming season, Netflix is organizing 13 exclusive fan screenings and interactive events worldwide. These gatherings will commence on February 23 and continue through mid-March, spanning major cities such as Mexico City, Los Angeles, Paris, Tokyo, Cape Town, Bangkok, and Rio de Janeiro. The series, a collaborative effort between Tomorrow Studios, Shueisha, and Netflix, made a spectacular debut in 2023, dominating Netflix's Global Top 10 for eight consecutive weeks and securing the top spot in over 75 countries. Notably, it was the first English-language Netflix production to achieve the number one ranking in Japan. Matt Owens and Joe Tracz return as co-showrunners for Season 2, joined by a returning cast including Iñaki Godoy, Mackenyu, Emily Rudd, Jacob Romero, and Taz Skylar, alongside new additions. The series has already been greenlit for a third season.

Music icon Pink is slated to take on guest hosting duties for a full week on "The Kelly Clarkson Show," beginning March 2. This special week-long event is dedicated to commemorating Women's History Month, with a focus on honoring women who are instrumental in driving change, dismantling barriers, and fostering mutual support. The episodes will feature unexpected performances and engaging discussions with influential figures in entertainment and community leaders making a tangible difference. Pink expressed her excitement, noting that hosting for Kelly Clarkson is a novel challenge after her extensive career. Clarkson reciprocated the sentiment, expressing admiration for Pink's music and character and lamenting her absence during the special week. Pink previously appeared on the show for a "Songs & Stories" segment, performing her hits and sharing insights into their creation. This will be the final season of "The Kelly Clarkson Show" as Clarkson intends to step away to prioritize her family after her husband's passing in 2025. The remainder of Season 7 will air as scheduled through fall 2026, featuring Clarkson and other unannounced guest hosts.
Peabody Awards Strengthens Leadership with New Board Appointments
The Peabody Awards' board of directors has expanded its ranks, welcoming several prominent executives from across the media spectrum. New additions include Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios; Katherine Pope, President of Sony Pictures Television; Ravi Nandan, Partner and Global Head of Television at A24; Amy Israel, President of Television at Peter Chernin's The North Road Company; Amy Entelis, Executive Vice President at CNN Worldwide; and Carolyn Ryan, Managing Editor at The New York Times. The Peabody Awards celebrate storytelling that effectively addresses social issues and champions emerging voices. The annual ceremony is scheduled for May 31 in Beverly Hills. Friedlander, Pope, Nandan, and Israel will serve on the West Coast board, while Entelis and Ryan will join the East Coast board. The board comprises senior executives from various media sectors, dedicated to upholding the organization's mission of recognizing impactful storytelling. Jeffrey Jones, the executive director of Peabody, emphasized the importance of a strong and committed board in maintaining the institution's integrity while adapting to the evolving media landscape. The newly appointed members bring extensive experience, with Friedlander overseeing Amazon MGM's television slate, Pope leading Sony Pictures Television's scripted content, Nandan heading A24's television division, Israel directing television at North Road, Entelis leading CNN Originals, and Ryan managing key news departments at The New York Times. Nominees and winners for the 2026 Peabody Awards will be announced in April, with the ceremony taking place at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel on May 31.
