Netflix's new documentary series, 'Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model,' has achieved remarkable success, drawing in 14.2 million viewers within its inaugural week. This outstanding performance positioned it as the most-watched English-language program on the streaming service between February 16 and 22. The series, consisting of three parts, takes a critical look at the controversial early 2000s runway competition. It features candid interviews with individuals closely involved with the show, including former contestants, winners, members of the judging panel, and even the visionary creator and host, Tyra Banks, providing an unvarnished perspective on its legacy.

The docuseries, titled 'Reality Check: Inside America's Next Top Model,' provides a deep dive into the complex history of the reality show. Its success on Netflix underscores a continued public fascination with the inner workings and broader societal impact of such programs. The series does not shy away from addressing the contentious aspects and criticisms that have surrounded 'America's Next Top Model' over the years, offering a comprehensive and often challenging narrative through the voices of those directly affected.

Beyond this breakout hit, Netflix's English-language TV charts for the same period saw 'The Night Agent' Season 3 make a strong debut with 8.4 million views, while 'Bridgerton' Season 4 maintained a solid performance, attracting 6.3 million views in its fourth week. In the realm of non-English productions, the Korean mystery thriller 'The Art of Sarah' captivated audiences with 10 million views in its second week, indicating the global reach and diverse appeal of Netflix's content library.

The platform also saw significant engagement with its film offerings. Tyler Perry's 'Joe's College Road Trip' led the English-language film category with 10.4 million views in its second week. Ridley Scott's 2012 science fiction prequel, 'Prometheus,' a new addition to Netflix, quickly climbed to the second spot with 6.6 million views. Meanwhile, 'KPop Demon Hunters' continued its impressive run, accumulating 6 million views during its 36th week on the service. For non-English films, 'A Father's Miracle,' 'Firebreak,' and 'The Orphans' secured the top three positions, demonstrating strong international viewership.

The documentary's strong reception highlights the ongoing appeal of behind-the-scenes narratives and critical re-evaluations of cultural phenomena. By bringing together various perspectives, including those of its creator and former participants, the series offers a nuanced understanding of a show that shaped a generation of reality television. This success not only reflects interest in the modeling world but also in the broader conversations around media representation and the impact of reality programming.
