The eagerly awaited reunion of the hit reality series Laguna Beach is set to hit screens, promising a nostalgic dive into the lives of its original cast members. After two decades, stars like Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, and Stephen Colletti are coming together to revisit their high school years, the infamous love triangles, and the friendships that defined a generation. The forthcoming special aims to offer a fresh perspective on the drama, addressing lingering feuds and untold stories from behind the scenes.

Anticipation Builds for "The Reunion: Laguna Beach" on Roku

On March 24, 2026, The Roku Channel officially released the trailer for "The Reunion: Laguna Beach," sparking considerable excitement among fans. The special features a significant portion of the original cast, including Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari, Stephen Colletti, Lo Bosworth, Talan Torriero, Trey Phillips, Christina Shuller, Dieter Schmitz, Jessica Smith, and Alex Hooser. The reunion arrives 20 years after the show's debut on MTV in 2004, which captivated audiences for three seasons, drawing inspiration from the teen drama "The O.C."

A standout moment in the trailer shows Conrad and Cavallari engaging in an intimate conversation on a beach, a rarity during the original series. Cavallari notes, "We have never had a conversation on camera, just the two of us," with Conrad confirming, "No." The trailer then transitions into Hilary Duff's iconic 2003 track, "Come Clean," the theme song for Laguna Beach, instantly transporting viewers back to the early 2000s. The promotional material also highlights the re-emergence of the long-standing rivalry between Conrad and Cavallari, rooted in a complex love triangle involving them and Colletti during their high school days. Cavallari humorously recounts her casting story, suggesting her memorable line—"I don’t know and I don’t care as long as it’s not Lauren Conrad"—played a role. Conrad openly admits, "We did not like each other." However, a notable development occurred in 2022 when Conrad joined Cavallari and Colletti on their "Back to the Beach" podcast, where they reconciled and acknowledged how MTV often amplified their on-screen drama. This two-hour reunion special is scheduled to premiere on Roku on April 10, promising a deep dive into memorable episodes, cast reactions, and candid reflections on their intertwined pasts.

This reunion provides a unique opportunity to reflect on the impact of reality television on young lives and the enduring power of nostalgia. It underscores how narratives, even those amplified by television production, can evolve and find resolution over time. The willingness of these individuals to revisit their past, confront old tensions, and share their matured perspectives offers valuable lessons on growth, forgiveness, and the complex nature of public perception.
