Disneyland Paris is embarking on an ambitious journey of transformation, promising visitors an array of captivating new experiences. From the heart of the African savanna to the depths of space, and lively street celebrations, the park is poised to unveil immersive attractions and entertainment that pay homage to timeless Disney narratives while pushing the boundaries of themed entertainment. These enhancements reflect a commitment to innovation, storytelling, and creating unforgettable moments for guests of all ages.

Experience the Magic: A New Era of Enchantment at Disneyland Paris

A Majestic Roar: The 'Lion King' Themed Expansion

Disneyland Paris is set to introduce an immersive new land inspired by Disney's beloved classic, 'The Lion King.' This expansive area, spanning 30,000 square meters, will transport guests directly into the African savanna, featuring attractions, unique retail outlets, themed dining experiences, and interactive character encounters. A highlight will be the advanced animatronics, including a detailed representation of Scar, bringing the iconic confrontation scene to life with stunning realism.

Journey to the Stars: Space Mountain's Grand Return

By 2028, Space Mountain will undergo a significant re-imagining, reverting to its original 1995 theme, 'De la Terre à la Lune' ('From the Earth to the Moon'), based on Jules Verne's classic novel. This transformation will see the attraction's steam-punk aesthetic revitalized and its original score by Steve Bramson fully remastered. The ride, which has operated as 'Hyperspace Mountain' with a 'Star Wars' theme for the past decade, will close in late 2027 to facilitate these extensive updates, promising a nostalgic yet fresh adventure for thrill-seekers.

Vibrant Spectacle: The All-New Daytime Parade

Also slated for 2028, Disneyland Paris will reintroduce a brand-new daytime parade, marking its first such offering since 2017. Led by Mickey Mouse and his friends, this colorful procession will feature eight elaborate floats showcasing characters from cherished films like 'Aladdin,' 'The Princess and the Frog,' 'Rapunzel,' and 'Coco.' The creation of this parade represents a monumental effort, involving over 10,000 hours of research and development, alongside 225 unique sketches for costumes, wigs, and makeup, all designed to deliver a visually stunning and heartwarming experience.

Future Horizons: More Enchantment on the Way

Beyond the 'Lion King' expansion, Space Mountain's revival, and the new parade, Disneyland Paris is also preparing for other exciting additions. An 'Up'-inspired attraction named Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings is anticipated to open next year, further diversifying the park's offerings. These continuous investments underscore Disneyland Paris's dedication to evolving its guest experience, ensuring that both classic tales and new adventures are brought to life with unparalleled creativity and attention to detail.

A Vision for Tomorrow: Leadership's Commitment to Innovation

Christophe Murphy, President of Disneyland Paris, emphasized the park's unwavering commitment to storytelling and guest satisfaction. He highlighted that these significant investments in new attractions and experiences, including the 'Lion King' themed area and the updated Space Mountain, are a direct response to fan feedback. Murphy expressed confidence that by continuously innovating and listening to its audience, Disneyland Paris will continue to create magical moments that resonate with visitors for many years to come.
