The 38th Premio Lo Nuestro awards, a long-standing tradition in Latin music, recently concluded in Miami, co-hosted by Thalia, Nadia Ferreira, and Clarissa Molina. This year, the event honored a multitude of artists for their outstanding contributions to the genre.

A standout at the ceremony was Bad Bunny, who achieved remarkable success just weeks after his impactful Super Bowl appearance. He garnered six awards, including the prestigious Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for “Debí Tirar Más Fotos,” alongside Song of the Year for “DTMF.” Mexican regional music sensation Carín León also had a triumphant night, securing five trophies, notably for his “Crossover” Collaboration of the Year with Kacey Musgraves on “Lost in Translation.” The evening also recognized several other notable figures with special accolades: Juanes received a Lifetime Achievement Award, Arcángel was honored with the Urban Icon Award, Los Bukis earned the Musical Legacy Award, Manolo Díaz was presented with the Visionary Award, and Paloma San Basilio received the Award for Excellence.

The event showcased a vibrant array of performances, featuring Carlos Vives premiering his new single “Te Dedico,” Romeo Santos and Prince Royce performing a medley of their recent hits, Kany García and Maluma collaborating on “1+1,” and Marc Anthony kicking off the show with his television debut alongside Nathy Peluso for “Como en el Idilio.” Established by Univision in 1989, Premio Lo Nuestro was broadcast live across Univision, Unimas, and Galavisión in the U.S., and streamed via ViX in numerous Latin American countries, further solidifying its role in celebrating the diverse and dynamic landscape of Latin music.

This celebration of Latin music’s finest underscores the genre's powerful and ever-expanding global influence. Through platforms like Premio Lo Nuestro, artists are not only recognized for their talent but also inspire countless individuals, fostering a vibrant cultural exchange and promoting unity through the universal language of music. The event serves as a testament to the enduring creativity and passion within the Latin music community.
