Prolific television creator ("Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal") and author on creativity and empowerment.

An-Li Bogan is set to feature alongside Emily Deschanel in an upcoming NBC drama pilot, a project inspired by the pioneering work of Dr. Ann Burgess, an acclaimed profiler. Bogan will take on the role of Natalie Washington, a character endowed with hyperthymesia, allowing her to possess a flawless memory of every moment of her life. This extraordinary capability positions her as a crucial investigative resource, enabling her to discern forgotten details and recognize elusive patterns that other methods might overlook.

The narrative centers on Professor Georgia Ryan, portrayed by Deschanel, a visionary psychologist who revolutionizes criminology by prioritizing the victim's perspective to uncover vital clues. Working in collaboration with her team, Ryan, a trailblazing expert, lends her expertise to the FBI to crack the most perplexing and hard-to-solve cases. Bogan’s character, Natalie, becomes an indispensable member of this team, her unique memory enhancing their ability to dissect complex criminal behaviors.

An-Li Bogan's prior acting credits include performances in films such as “The American Society of Magical Negroes” and short features like “Let” and “Half Moon.” She has also recently concluded filming for the independent movie “Echo Lake.” On television, Bogan has appeared in CBS series including “Bull” and “Elementary,” showcasing her versatility across various genres. Her representation is managed by Gersh and Brillstein Entertainment Partners, significant agencies within the entertainment industry.

The pilot is being developed with Dean Georgaris and John Fox serving as writers and executive producers. John Davis, through Davis Entertainment, also holds an executive producer credit. Emily Deschanel is involved not only as a lead actress but also as a producer. Dr. Ann Burgess and Steve Constantine are contributing to the project as consulting producers, ensuring the authenticity and depth of the criminal profiling aspects. Universal Television is the production company behind this intriguing new drama.

This series promises a fresh take on crime procedural dramas by introducing a character with an exceptional cognitive ability. Natalie Washington's hyperthymesia offers a compelling narrative device, providing a distinct approach to solving criminal mysteries by re-evaluating traditional investigative techniques. The combination of Deschanel's established talent in the genre and Bogan's unique character promises a captivating and intellectually stimulating viewing experience.
