Celebrated Actor Alec Baldwin to Headline Boulder International Film Festival Event

On Saturday, April 11, at 7:45 PM, the iconic Boulder Theater will host a captivating career retrospective with Alec Baldwin, a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. The event, held during the 22nd annual Boulder International Film Festival (running from April 9-12), will feature Baldwin, aged 67, in an in-depth conversation that will also be taped for The Hollywood Reporter’s “Awards Chatter” podcast. Baldwin's career has spanned almost five decades, beginning with memorable roles in films such as “Beetlejuice,” “Working Girl,” and “Married to the Mob” in 1988, followed by “The Hunt for Red October” in 1990. His extensive filmography includes critically acclaimed performances in “Glengarry Glen Ross” (1992), “Ghosts of Mississippi” (1996), “The Royal Tenenbaums” and “Pearl Harbor” (2001), and “The Cooler” (2003), for which he garnered an Oscar nomination. He also appeared in “The Aviator” (2004), “The Departed” (2006), “It’s Complicated” (2009), “To Rome with Love” (2012), “Blue Jasmine” (2013), “Still Alice” (2014), and “Motherless Brooklyn” (2019).

Beyond his cinematic achievements, Baldwin has achieved significant success on television. He is famously known for hosting NBC’s “Saturday Night Live” a record 17 times and for his Emmy-winning portrayal of Donald Trump on the show. His role as TV executive Jack Donaghy opposite Tina Fey’s Liz Lemon in NBC’s “30 Rock” earned him two Emmys, three Golden Globes, and seven Screen Actors Guild Awards. Additionally, he co-hosted the Academy Awards in 2010. Baldwin is recognized as a modern-day Renaissance man, hosting the interview podcast “Here’s The Thing,” a nationally syndicated radio program “The New York Philharmonic This Week,” and frequently serving as a guest host on Turner Classic Movies. He also co-chairs the Hamptons International Film Festival board, where he co-created and helps curate its SummerDocs series, and is a dedicated supporter of the arts.
