Vertical Aerospace is strategically enhancing its supplier ecosystem for its advanced Valo aircraft, securing a crucial partnership with Isoclima S.p.A. for transparent components. This collaboration underscores the company's commitment to achieving certification and scaling production, positioning Valo for its anticipated commercial debut.

Vertical Aerospace Forges Key Partnership with Isoclima for Valo Aircraft

On March 27, 2026, Vertical Aerospace, a pioneering force in electric aviation, officially announced a significant expansion of its supplier network. The British aerospace firm has selected Italy-based Isoclima S.p.A. as a primary provider for the comprehensive transparency suite of its innovative Valo aircraft. This encompasses critical elements such as the pilot and passenger canopies, alongside other glazing systems.

This long-term agreement is meticulously designed to provide steadfast support throughout the Valo program, from the rigorous certification process to full-scale production and eventual entry into commercial operation. Isoclima joins a distinguished roster of existing suppliers, including industry giants like Honeywell, Aciturri, Evolito, and Syensqo, further solidifying the robustness of Valo's development pipeline. The selection of Isoclima highlights the stringent demands of aircraft transparencies, which must not only offer exceptional bird-strike resistance and structural integrity but also withstand various environmental stressors while maintaining uncompromised visibility standards. This partnership is expected to ensure stability in supply and continuity in technical expertise as the Valo project progresses towards its milestones.

In related developments, Vertical Aerospace reported on March 24 that transition testing for the Valo aircraft was actively underway. The company's immediate focus has now shifted squarely towards securing certification and meticulously scaling up its manufacturing capabilities. Anticipating a period of intensified investment in flight testing, certification procedures, and manufacturing ramp-up, Vertical expects net cash outflows of approximately $195 million over the subsequent twelve months. Further demonstrating its progress, a separate announcement on March 18 confirmed that Vertical's battery pilot production line has successfully commenced operations.

The Valo aircraft, an eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) vehicle, is designed to be piloted and accommodate four passengers. Vertical Aerospace proudly notes that it has already secured approximately 1,500 pre-orders for the Valo across four different continents, signaling strong market interest and confidence in its groundbreaking electric aviation solution.

Vertical Aerospace's proactive approach to supply chain management, exemplified by the partnership with Isoclima, is a testament to the meticulous planning required for bringing advanced aviation technology to market. This strategic collaboration not only addresses the immediate technical demands of the Valo aircraft but also lays a robust foundation for long-term production and commercial success. By focusing on critical components and securing reliable partners, Vertical Aerospace is systematically de-risking its path to certification and demonstrating a clear vision for the future of electric air travel. The significant pre-order volume further validates the market's readiness for such innovative solutions, underscoring the potential for eVTOL aircraft to revolutionize urban and regional mobility.
