Unusual Machines Inc. (UMAC) is significantly expanding its operational footprint by securing a new 14,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Orlando, Florida. This strategic acquisition, publicly announced on June 25, is primarily intended to reinforce the company's battery and power systems segment. This move comes as UMAC prepares for the impending acquisition of Upgrade Energy, demonstrating a clear focus on enhancing its production capabilities ahead of this key integration.

This newly established Florida site will operate in conjunction with Upgrade Energy's current manufacturing base in California, collectively boosting UMAC's domestic capacity for producing critical battery components essential for its drone product lines. According to CEO Allan Evans, this expansion marks a pivotal moment in the company's growth trajectory, especially as it aims to finalize the acquisition by the middle of the third quarter of 2026. The increased manufacturing capability is also poised to help UMAC meet the escalating demand for components that comply with the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) within the United States.

The expansion into Orlando reflects a proactive and forward-thinking strategy by Unusual Machines. By expanding its domestic manufacturing, UMAC is not only preparing for increased production demands stemming from the Upgrade Energy acquisition but also reinforcing its commitment to national compliance and strengthening its supply chain resilience. This move is indicative of a company poised for significant growth and dedicated to meeting evolving market and regulatory requirements, positioning itself as a leader in drone technology and its critical components.
