"RuPaul's Drag Race" has received the green light for its 19th season on MTV, while its popular spin-off, "All Stars," will also return for new seasons on Paramount+. This significant announcement comes on the heels of the program's impressive 18th season, which achieved unprecedented viewership figures and secured a remarkable 11 Emmy nominations. Producers attribute the show's enduring appeal to its powerful capacity to bring individuals together and amplify varied voices.

The recent 18th season of "RuPaul's Drag Race" concluded with Myki Meeks being crowned America's Next Drag Superstar. This season marked a notable milestone, delivering double-digit growth in viewership compared to its predecessor and establishing a new record for franchise premiere audiences. Furthermore, the show's continued critical acclaim is underscored by its 11 Emmy nominations, including RuPaul's 11th consecutive nod for outstanding reality or reality competition program host.

Following the renewal news, companion series "Untucked," which offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the main competition, also received additional season orders. Both "RuPaul's Drag Race," "RuPaul's Drag Race: Untucked," "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars," and "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars: Untucked" are helmed by World of Wonder Productions. A representative from World of Wonder expressed gratitude to MTV and Paramount+ partners, as well as the queens, judges, crew, and fans who have contributed to the show's global phenomenon. They emphasized that drag acts as a potent unifying force and reiterated their commitment to celebrating new perspectives and sharing memorable moments with the world.

Adding to its accolades, "RuPaul's Drag Race" has previously clinched the Emmy for best reality competition program five times. Crystal Methyd's recent victory in "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" season 11 further highlights the franchise's inclusive spirit, as she became the first person of Mexican descent to win the main series. Judge and executive producer Michelle Visage hinted at the show's broader cultural impact, suggesting that reclaiming the Emmy in the current political climate would send a powerful, unspoken message of resilience and continued presence.

The ongoing success and cultural relevance of "RuPaul's Drag Race" reinforce its position as a leading force in reality television. The program not only entertains but also fosters a community where diverse stories are celebrated and heard, showcasing the profound ability of drag to transcend entertainment and inspire meaningful dialogue.
