Insight Editions Unveils "The Revenant" Deluxe Collector's Set for 10th Anniversary
On February 23, 2026, Insight Editions officially announced the upcoming release of a lavish, limited-edition book set dedicated to Alejandro G. Iñárritu's celebrated film, "The Revenant." This initiative marks the film's tenth anniversary and is a collaborative effort between Insight, Iñárritu, and New Regency. The collection, titled "The Making of The Revenant," is designed to be a premium offering for serious film enthusiasts. It is encased in a custom-designed clamshell box and comprises two exquisite, foil-stamped hardcover volumes, alongside a faithfully reproduced version of the movie's original shooting script. A standout feature of this set is the inclusion of autographs from the visionary director Alejandro G. Iñárritu and the acclaimed actor Leonardo DiCaprio, significantly boosting its collector's value.
One of the volumes is a replica of Iñárritu's personal photography book, which was initially distributed as a special gift to the cast and crew. The second volume, penned by Gina McIntyre, delves deeply into the film's production journey, artistic vision, and behind-the-scenes narratives, complemented by striking photographs from on-set photographer Kimberly French, and additional images from Jason Bell, Eros Hoagland, and Iñárritu's personal archives.
The entire limited edition run is restricted to 500 individually numbered copies, each authenticated with signatures from Iñárritu, DiCaprio, and cinematographer Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki—all of whom garnered Academy Awards for their contributions to the film. Furthermore, within this limited batch, the first 150 copies constitute the exclusive "Signed Print Edition," which also includes a unique 16" x 20" giclée print on archival Hot Press Bright paper, personally signed by DiCaprio, offering a rare double signature from the leading star.
The release date for these editions is set for June 2, with pre-orders currently available. The "Limited Edition" is priced at $750, while the "Signed Print Edition" will retail for $1,100. In parallel with this release, 20th Century Studios and New Regency are re-releasing "The Revenant" in select IMAX theaters across the United States on February 26 and March 1, and internationally in regions including the U.K., France, Germany, Italy, Spain, Australia, New Zealand, and Mexico. A special Q&A event with Iñárritu, featuring DiCaprio via Zoom, is scheduled for February 26, commemorating the film's anniversary.
This deluxe book set represents more than just a collection of behind-the-scenes anecdotes; it is a tangible piece of cinematic history, offering an intimate look into the painstaking artistry and formidable dedication required to create a film of "The Revenant's" magnitude. The rarity of the signed editions, particularly those bearing two signatures from Leonardo DiCaprio, transforms these books into significant artifacts for collectors and a profound tribute to a film that pushed the boundaries of filmmaking and storytelling. The accompanying IMAX re-release and Q&A further solidify the film's enduring cultural impact, reminding audiences of its powerful narrative and breathtaking visual achievements a decade after its initial debut. It underscores the continued appreciation for the collaborative genius of Iñárritu, DiCaprio, and their entire team, and serves as an inspiring example of artistic excellence in cinema.
