A Blast from the Past: Virtual Boy Games Join Nintendo Switch Online's Library

Starting February 17th, Nintendo Switch Online subscribers will gain access to a curated selection of Virtual Boy titles. This exciting addition follows the console's 30th anniversary, marking a significant moment for retro gaming enthusiasts.

The Initial Lineup: Launch Titles Revealed for Virtual Boy on Switch

Upon its debut, the Virtual Boy collection on Nintendo Switch Online will feature a variety of fan favorites. Players can look forward to diving into games such as Galactic Pinball, Teleroboxer, RED ALARM, Virtual Boy Wario Land, 3-D Tetris, Golf, and The Mansion of Innsmouth.

Enhanced Experience: New Virtual Boy Accessories and Membership Details

To coincide with the game releases, Nintendo has also introduced new Virtual Boy accessories. These include a full-version peripheral priced at $99.99 and a more affordable cardboard option at $24.99. Access to these games will require a Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack membership.

Future Additions: More Virtual Boy Titles on the Horizon

Throughout the year, Nintendo plans to roll out additional Virtual Boy games, expanding the library further. This upcoming wave includes titles like Mario Clash, Mario's Tennis, Jack Bros., Space Invaders Virtual Collection, Virtual Bowling, Vertical Force, and V-Tetris. Notably, two previously unreleased games, Zero Racers and D-Hopper, are also slated for release.

Modern Enhancements: Gameplay Features for the Virtual Boy Collection

The Virtual Boy games on Nintendo Switch Online will come with modern enhancements. Players will have the ability to rewind gameplay to correct mistakes and customize controller layouts for a personalized experience. A future update will also allow users to change the in-game tint from the Virtual Boy's signature red to other colors like white or green, by removing the lens cover.
