MS NOW Secures Long-Term Deal with 'Morning Joe' Hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski

Prolific television creator ("Grey's Anatomy," "Scandal") and author on creativity and empowerment.

MS NOW has successfully inked new long-term contracts with its prominent 'Morning Joe' co-hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski. This strategic move guarantees their continued presence on the network until the conclusion of 2029, securing their involvement through the critical 2028 election period. The agreement underscores the enduring significance of 'Morning Joe', a program that began as a temporary fixture nearly two decades ago but has since evolved into a cornerstone of the MS NOW schedule.

The announcement follows a recent restructuring of MS NOW's programming, which included reducing 'Morning Joe' to its original three-hour format from a four-hour broadcast. Despite this adjustment, the network's commitment to its leading personalities remains steadfast. The decision reflects the show's consistent appeal and its hosts' influential presence in the media landscape.

Joe Scarborough has also been broadening his media endeavors beyond television, notably by launching 'The Tea,' a newsletter designed to extend the program's reach into the afternoon hours. This initiative aligns with Scarborough's expressed desire to diversify his work and leverage MS NOW's new organizational structure under Versant, which he believes will facilitate faster innovation and new project development.

Scarborough previously shared insights into the evolving landscape of media production, highlighting the benefits of working within Versant's more agile environment compared to larger corporate structures like General Electric or Comcast. He emphasized the entrepreneurial spirit fostered by CEO Mark Lazarus and Rebecca Kutler, which he views as a significant advantage for pursuing new creative ventures and expanding the show's impact beyond traditional broadcast television.

The renewed commitment from MS NOW to Scarborough and Brzezinski solidifies the network's faith in their ability to draw and maintain a loyal audience. It also positions 'Morning Joe' to continue playing a significant role in political discourse and news coverage for years to come, affirming its status as a pivotal broadcast within the network's lineup.
