Medline Inc. is proactively strengthening its logistical framework in Northern California following a recent operational setback. The company has secured leases for two expansive distribution centers, significantly increasing its regional capacity. This development underscores Medline's commitment to fortifying its supply chain and maintaining exceptional service to healthcare providers across the Western United States, especially in the wake of unforeseen disruptions.

Medline Boosts West Coast Distribution with New California Centers

On July 6, 2026, Medline Inc. (NASDAQ:MDLN) unveiled plans for two new, state-of-the-art distribution centers in Northern California, signaling a major strategic enhancement to its supply chain network. This announcement comes swiftly after a 1 million-square-foot facility was tragically lost to fire on June 11, underscoring Medline's rapid response and resilience. The new facilities collectively encompass over 1.6 million square feet, marking a substantial 45% increase in the company's regional customer-facing footprint compared to the previous month.

The first of these critical sites is a 925,000-square-foot warehouse located in Tracy, California, which is already prepared for immediate occupancy. Medline is actively integrating its cutting-edge AI-powered logistics technologies into this facility, with plans for it to soon commence supporting deliveries via the company's dedicated truck fleet. The second facility, a 709,000-square-foot center in Stockton, is scheduled to become operational in January 2027.

Looking ahead, Medline anticipates that its total distribution presence in California will expand to nearly 5 million square feet by mid-2027. This ambitious growth is further supported by an additional 1-million-square-foot facility currently under construction in Perris. These extensive efforts are integral to Medline's overarching strategy to ensure unwavering supply chain resilience and to continuously meet the demands of healthcare providers throughout the entire West Coast region.

As a prominent medical instruments and supplies company, Medline Inc. serves a broad spectrum of healthcare entities, including hospitals, post-acute care facilities, and nursing homes. The company operates through two key segments: Medline Brand and Supply Chain Solutions. This expansion not only replaces lost capacity but also positions Medline for enhanced efficiency and reliability in its critical mission to support the healthcare industry.

Medline's decisive action in expanding its distribution infrastructure reflects a robust operational strategy aimed at ensuring continuity and growth. By quickly securing and developing new, larger facilities equipped with advanced technology, the company demonstrates its commitment to both its clients and its long-term market position. This move solidifies its ability to adapt to challenges and reinforce its role as a vital link in the healthcare supply chain, especially in a geographically crucial area like California.
