Lotte Entertainment Introduces Korea-Japan Co-Production "Mr. Shota's Last Business Trip" at FilMart

Lotte Entertainment is making waves at the Hong Kong FilMart by presenting its latest Korea-Japan collaboration, “Mr. Shota’s Last Business Trip.” This eagerly anticipated drama, helmed by director Lee Ju-hyoung, brings together a stellar cast to tell a compelling story of human connection and emotional discovery.

The narrative centers on an encounter in Enoshima, Japan, where a Japanese salaryman, grappling with an unsubmitted resignation, crosses paths with a young Korean man nursing a broken heart at a ramen establishment. Through a whimsical agreement to deliver each other's unsent correspondence—a love letter and a resignation—they inadvertently embark on a journey that intertwines their lives, exploring profound emotional depths. The film is expected to be released between the second and third quarters of 2026.

Beyond this feature, Lotte Entertainment is also stirring excitement with “Wild Sing,” a K-pop comedy directed by Son Jae-gon, and three Vietnamese films, including the horror-comedy “Blood Moon Feast 8,” the relationship drama “Double Couple Trouble,” and the supernatural tale “Bus.” This diverse slate underscores Lotte Entertainment’s commitment to bringing a wide array of compelling cinematic experiences to global audiences, fostering cross-cultural narratives and showcasing emerging talent.

The global film industry thrives on collaborative storytelling that transcends borders and cultural differences. Such ventures not only enrich the cinematic landscape but also promote a deeper understanding and appreciation among diverse communities, proving that shared human experiences resonate universally.
