Prime Video has just released the inaugural preview for the second season of its acclaimed docu-comedy, 'Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat.' This forthcoming season introduces viewers to Anthony, an unsuspecting protagonist who believes he is attending an annual corporate gathering for a hot sauce company, completely unaware that everyone around him is, in fact, an actor. This innovative series continues its tradition of placing an ordinary individual into an elaborately staged reality, promising another season filled with candid reactions and humorous situations, building on the success of its Emmy-nominated predecessor.

The narrative for the new season revolves around Anthony's experience at the Rockin' Grandma's hot sauce company retreat. He has been led to believe he was hired as a temporary worker for this event. The recently released trailer offers a glimpse into Anthony's introduction to a cast of eccentric employees, setting the stage for the comedic unfolding of events. A central conflict within the season's storyline will involve the potential acquisition of Rockin' Grandma's, a company originally destined to be inherited by the founder's son. Anthony's interactions with the fictional team, especially concerning this corporate drama, are expected to be a highlight, showcasing his genuine reactions to the fabricated scenarios.

The initial season of 'Jury Duty' captivated audiences by featuring Ronald Gladden as its central, unsuspecting figure, alongside actor James Marsden portraying a fictionalized version of himself. This season skillfully created a mock jury selection and trial, where all participants except Gladden were actors. The show's unique concept earned it four Emmy nominations, including one for Marsden's performance, marking it as the first Amazon Freevee title to receive such recognition. Gladden's unexpected fame from the series also led to a significant two-year deal with Amazon MGM Studios in November 2023.

The second season of 'Jury Duty' is scheduled to debut on Prime Video on March 20, with an initial release of three episodes. Two more episodes will follow on March 27, culminating in a three-episode finale on April 3. The ensemble cast for 'Jury Duty Presents: Company Retreat' includes talents such as Alex Bonifer, Blair Beeken, Emily Pendergast, and Erica Hernandez, among others. The series is helmed by a team of experienced executive producers including David Bernad, Lee Eisenberg, and Gene Stupnitsky, with Eisenberg and Stupnitsky also serving as co-creators, and Jake Szymanski directing.

The series, which was confirmed for a second season renewal in February 2025, has already completed filming, demonstrating a well-organized production schedule. The show's premise hinges on the authenticity of its unsuspecting lead's reactions, making the selection of Anthony as the new focus a critical element for maintaining the series' distinctive charm and humor. Viewers can anticipate more unscripted and delightful moments as Anthony navigates the quirky world of Rockin' Grandma's, totally unaware of the elaborate prank being played out around him.
