Hyundai is redefining luxury in the SUV segment with the launch of its new Palisade High Roof model, an innovative offering that marries the practicality of an SUV with the lavishness typically found in high-end minivans. This unique vehicle caters to a discerning clientele seeking enhanced comfort and sophisticated features, particularly within the Asian market where demand for such opulent, spacious interiors is on the rise.

Experience Unrivaled Luxury: The Palisade High Roof

The Evolution of Luxury Transportation: From Sedans to High-Rooftop SUVs

For many years, executive sedans were the definitive choice for those who desired chauffeured travel or mobile business environments. However, a notable transformation in consumer preferences, especially across Asia, has seen a surge in popularity for luxury minivans. Responding to this evolving market, Hyundai Motor Group has meticulously developed vehicles like the Hyundai Staria Lounge Limousine and the Kia Carnival Hi-Limousine. These models distinguish themselves with elevated roofs, providing an expanded interior volume and a more lavish cabin experience. Following this trend, Hyundai has now introduced an SUV that incorporates similar design principles, effectively blending luxury with the robust appeal of an SUV.

Unveiling the Palisade High Roof: A Closer Look at its Design and Dimensions

The Palisade High Roof made its initial appearance as a prototype at the Seoul Mobility Show last year, generating considerable interest. Now officially released in Korea, this model features a roof elevation of approximately 9.4 inches (240 millimeters), pushing the SUV's total height to nearly 79 inches (2,005 mm). Beyond the significant roof modification, this premium Palisade variant is equipped with distinct 21-inch wheels fitted with Pirelli tires, complemented by a standard predictive electronically controlled suspension system, ensuring a superior ride quality.

Interior Excellence: Limo-Like Features and Advanced Amenities

The true essence of the Palisade High Roof's luxury is most evident in its interior. Passengers are treated to an expansive 21.4-inch screen seamlessly integrated into the ceiling, serving as a comprehensive rear-seat entertainment system. The cabin is further enhanced with innovative pop-up LED reading lights and a star-effect headliner that features illuminated contours, creating a serene and ambient lighting atmosphere.

The VIP Package 2: Ultimate Comfort and Sterilization

For those desiring the pinnacle of luxury, the Palisade High Roof can be outfitted with the VIP Package 2 option. This package introduces an advanced center console for second-row passengers, complete with dual wireless charging pads, heated and cooled cup holders, and an integrated air purifier. Premium floor mats add to the opulent feel, while UV-C sterilization technology ensures a hygienic environment by effectively neutralizing bacteria, viruses, and fungi throughout the SUV's interior.

Pricing and Market Position: A Premium Offering for the Korean Market

As anticipated, this enhanced level of luxury comes at a premium. The Palisade High Roof stands as the most expensive variant in its lineup, with a price tag of 72,440,000 Korean Won (approximately $52,300 USD). In comparison, the standard Palisade model begins at 44,780,000 Korean Won ($32,300 USD), making the High Roof version about 62 percent more costly. Currently, this exclusive model is available solely in the Korean market, targeting an elite segment of buyers.
