This theatrical endeavor is spearheaded by Tony Award-winning producer Dori Berinstein and features acclaimed director Michael Arden at the helm. The creative team boasts notable talents including book writer Douglas Lyons and a choreography ensemble comprising Ayodele Casel, Lauren Yalango-Grant, and Christopher “Cree” Grant. The production intends to incorporate the original film's memorable songs and dynamic soundtrack, aiming to capture the essence of the Oscar-winning movie and its successful sequel, which collectively earned over $847 million globally. The design aspects are in expert hands with Tony-winning professionals such as set designer Dane Laffrey, costume designer Susan Hilferty, and lighting designer Natasha Katz, alongside puppet designer Basil Twist, orchestrator Kenny Seymour, and music supervisor Jackson Teeley. Warner Bros. Theatre Ventures is also involved in the production, with Mark Kaufman serving as a creative consultant and George Miller, the film's original creator, as a consulting producer.
