Exciting news for retro gaming enthusiasts and Disney fans alike! The beloved Disney Afternoon Collection is officially set to launch on Nintendo Switch 1 and Switch 2 platforms on February 26, 2026. This release marks a significant moment, as the collection, initially absent from Nintendo consoles in 2017, now arrives with enhanced content and special physical offerings.

The updated collection expands on its original lineup by incorporating two additional titles: Goof Troop and Bonkers, enriching the nostalgic experience for players. These new inclusions join established fan favorites such as DuckTales, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, and Darkwing Duck. Enthusiasts will appreciate the physical versions, which include unique merchandise like sticker sheets, retro milk caps, and collectible cards, making them a treasure for collectors. Moreover, the Switch 2 version promises the full game directly on the cartridge, ensuring a complete and uncompromised gaming experience.

The collection features six classic games: Goof Troop, a puzzle-solving adventure with Goofy and Max; Bonkers, a vibrant platformer set in Toontown; DuckTales and DuckTales 2, where Scrooge McDuck embarks on treasure hunts; Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers and its sequel, offering cooperative platforming; TaleSpin, a side-scrolling aerial shooter starring Baloo; and Darkwing Duck, a crime-fighting action game. Each game, hailing from the NES or SNES era, brings its unique charm and challenges to modern platforms, promising hours of engaging gameplay for both long-time fans and new players.

This revival of classic Disney titles on the Nintendo Switch embodies a delightful blend of nostalgia and modern accessibility. It serves as a testament to the enduring appeal of these iconic games and characters, allowing a new generation to discover the magic while older fans can relive cherished memories. The collection encourages exploration, problem-solving, and cooperative play, fostering a sense of joy and adventure through timeless interactive storytelling.
