Norway-based fruit snack manufacturer, Dellia Group, has announced that it is evaluating "strategic alternatives" due to unsolicited acquisition interest from several entities. The company's board has enlisted Pareto Securities to serve as a financial advisor, tasked with exploring options to enhance shareholder value and facilitate any subsequent transactions.
The comprehensive review by Dellia, known for its Sunshine Delights brand, encompasses a spectrum of strategic and financial possibilities, such as a full company sale, asset divestment, merger, capital raising, or the formation of a strategic partnership. This proactive step was initiated after the board determined that a structured approach was essential to safeguard the interests of both the company and its shareholders, though there is no guarantee any transaction will materialize.
This strategic consideration follows a period of remarkable financial performance for Dellia Group, which operates in key European markets including the UK, Denmark, France, and Germany, alongside China. In the first quarter of fiscal year 2026, the company reported an impressive 76.3% increase in revenue, reaching Nkr214.4 million ($21.9 million), driven by expanded distribution, new product launches, and enhanced market visibility. Operating profit surged by 32.4% to Nkr20.4 million, with net profit climbing 42% to Nkr14.3 million. Looking back at the full fiscal year 2025, Dellia achieved Nkr638.3 million in revenue, a substantial rise from Nkr266 million in the previous year, while operating profit reached Nkr74.5 million and net profit hit Nkr49.2 million. Additionally, in a significant move in December, Dellia acquired Kirirom Food Production, its primary supplier of dried fruit products, further integrating its supply chain and securing raw material sourcing.
The Dellia Group's journey demonstrates the power of strategic foresight and consistent growth. Their willingness to explore new avenues for expansion and value creation, even in the face of success, highlights a dynamic and forward-thinking approach. This proactive stance not only promises potential benefits for its shareholders but also reinforces the importance of adaptability and innovation in today's global marketplace, setting a positive example for sustainable business development.
