In a recent development, BTS member RM suffered an ankle injury during preparations for the highly anticipated Netflix special, 'BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang.' This incident means his movements on stage will be somewhat restricted. The concert is a significant event, marking the group's return to a full performance together after nearly four years, coinciding with the release of their latest album, 'Arirang,' and preceding an extensive global tour.

RM's Ankle Injury and Its Impact on Performance

BTS member RM sustained an ankle injury during a rehearsal for the group's upcoming Netflix comeback concert. This unfortunate event will lead to a partial limitation of his stage activities. The special, titled 'BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang,' is highly anticipated as it will be the group's first complete performance in close to four years. BigHit Music, BTS's label, released a statement via WeVerse, informing fans about RM's injury and the necessary precautions being taken.

During a rehearsal session on March 19, RM experienced an ankle injury, necessitating immediate medical attention. Following examinations, he was diagnosed with an accessory navicular sprain, a partial ligament tear, and a talus contusion, which involves both ligament damage and inflammation. Medical professionals have recommended that RM wear a cast and strictly limit his movements for at least two weeks to ensure a full recovery. Despite his strong desire to deliver an exceptional performance for this significant comeback, the decision was made in consultation with the artist to prioritize his health and prevent any further complications, resulting in the planned partial restriction of his on-stage choreography.

The Highly Anticipated Comeback and Global Tour

The upcoming Netflix special, 'BTS The Comeback Live: Arirang,' signifies a momentous return for the K-pop sensation, as it marks their first full group performance in almost four years. This event follows closely on the heels of their new album, 'Arirang,' released just prior to the concert. The group is also slated to embark on a massive global tour comprising 79 performances across 34 different markets, generating considerable excitement among their worldwide fanbase.

Despite the setback with RM's injury, the group's label expressed apologies for any potential disappointment and reassured fans of their dedication to delivering a heartfelt show. They emphasized that even with limited on-stage movement, RM is committed to participating and engaging with ARMY, their dedicated fanbase, and the broader audience. This comeback is not just about the performances; it's also about celebrating the release of their new album, 'Arirang,' which dropped on Friday. The subsequent global tour underscores their continued presence and influence on the international music scene, making this a pivotal moment for BTS and their millions of followers.
