Filming has officially begun for the highly anticipated movie "Isle of Man," backed by Brad Pitt's production company, Plan B. The drama, featuring Channing Tatum and Eve Hewson, is currently underway on the picturesque Isle of Man, strategically coinciding with the island's legendary motorcycle race. This immersive approach aims to capture the authentic atmosphere of the event, which is known globally for its intensity and danger. The film is also accompanied by a documentary series, further exploring the unique world of this iconic competition.

The principal photography for "Isle of Man" kicked off approximately a week ago on the small island nation situated in the Irish Sea. Reid Carolin is at the helm as director, working from a script he co-wrote with Jason Keller and Bryan Johnson. The production is a collaborative effort between Brad Pitt's Plan B, Tatum and Carolin's Free Association, and Entertainment 360's Guymon Casady and Jason Keller, underscoring a significant partnership with Amazon MGM Studios.

The Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) race serves as more than just a backdrop; it is integral to the film's narrative. This historic motorcycle race, which dates back to 1907, gained prominence when road racing became prohibited in England, leading enthusiasts to seek a haven on the Isle of Man. Competitors navigate a challenging 37.7-mile course that winds through rural lanes and urban streets, reaching speeds that can exceed 200 mph. The race's perilous nature is well-documented, with over 150 fatalities recorded since 1903, including five during the 2022 event.

Brad Pitt, demonstrating his commitment to the project's authenticity, was recently observed interacting with fans at the race's main grandstand. He was photographed alongside Italian rider Andrea Majola, a current competitor, and reportedly spent a considerable amount of time in Majola's paddock area. This engagement highlights Pitt's dedication to understanding and representing the racing culture, immersing himself in the vibrant and often dangerous environment that defines the Isle of Man TT.

In addition to Channing Tatum and Eve Hewson, the ensemble cast for "Isle of Man" includes talented actors such as Ciarán Hinds, May Calamawy, Ruaridh Mollica, and Éanna Hardwicke, promising a compelling cinematic experience. The film is part of a larger agreement with Amazon MGM Studios, which also encompasses a companion docuseries titled "The Greatest Race on Earth." This series, filmed during the 2024 Isle of Man TT, will provide an exclusive behind-the-scenes look into the high-stakes world of motorcycle racing, complementing the feature film's dramatic narrative.

The cinematic venture centered on the formidable Isle of Man motorcycle race is now actively in production, drawing global attention to its high-profile cast and compelling subject matter. With Brad Pitt's involvement and a dedicated team, this project promises to deliver an intense and authentic portrayal of one of the world's most thrilling and dangerous sporting events, further enhanced by a documentary exploring its real-world context.
