Arc Raiders: The 'Worth Your Salt' Quest Guide

The recently released "Shrouded Sky" update for Arc Raiders introduces a series of new assignments, among which "Worth Your Salt" presents a unique challenge for players. While the objectives themselves are straightforward—involving the retrieval, charging, and delivery of a prototype battery within a specific hangar—a persistent technical glitch complicates its completion. This issue, reminiscent of problems encountered in previous updates, often necessitates multiple attempts for players to successfully finish the quest, making an otherwise simple task surprisingly frustrating.

To successfully navigate the "Worth Your Salt" quest, players need to meticulously follow a series of steps within the Rocket Assembly sector of the Spaceport. The process begins with locating and acquiring a prototype battery, followed by its re-energization at a dedicated industrial charging station. The final stage involves depositing the now-charged battery into a designated collection point. Despite the clear instructions, the quest's inherent bug means that only the first player to reach the final delivery step can complete it within a given match. This technical impediment underscores the importance of strategic timing and perhaps a bit of luck to overcome the current limitations and secure quest completion.

Navigating the "Worth Your Salt" Quest Objectives

Players embarking on the "Worth Your Salt" quest in Arc Raiders will find themselves challenged by its deceptive simplicity, primarily due to an existing in-game bug. The journey begins by heading to the Rocket Assembly area, situated in the northwestern part of Spaceport, near the borders of Fuel Control and East Container Yard, specifically within the warehouse characterized by its distinctive red walkways. Once inside, the initial objective is to locate a prototype battery. This crucial item is typically found within a box positioned beside a series of red lockers, which can be accessed by ascending the stairs to the east corner of the walkway. Successfully acquiring this battery is the first critical step toward fulfilling the quest's requirements.

Following the retrieval of the prototype battery, the next stage of the quest involves transporting it to the Industrial Recharger machine. This charging station is centrally located within the hangar, conveniently close to the exit point. Players must then initiate the charging process by interacting with a handle on the side of the machine. Once the battery is fully charged, the final task is its delivery to a small, open box situated in the north corner of the hangar, also adjacent to the exit. Completing this delivery marks the official end of the quest, meaning there is no further requirement to extract the battery alive. However, the known bug affects this final step, where only the first player to deliver their charged battery will register as complete, often requiring repeated attempts if other players precede you.

Overcoming Quest Obstacles and Technical Glitches

The "Worth Your Salt" quest, while seemingly straightforward in its design, is currently impacted by a significant technical glitch that can impede progress. This issue primarily affects the final delivery step: depositing the charged prototype battery into the designated box. The core of the problem lies in the quest's current programming, where each player's battery is individually tracked, yet only the very first player to complete the final drop-off receives credit. Consequently, if another player manages to deliver their charged battery before you, your attempt to complete this stage will be unsuccessful, forcing you to reattempt the entire quest in a subsequent round. This can lead to considerable frustration, as successful completion often hinges on being the fastest or most fortunate player in a given match rather than simply executing the required steps correctly.

This persistent bug underscores a broader challenge within the "Shrouded Sky" update, reminiscent of similar issues encountered during the "A Prime Specimen" quest in a previous "Headwinds" update. Players are advised to be aware of this limitation and to anticipate the possibility of needing multiple attempts to secure completion. While the developers may eventually address and rectify this bug, for now, players must approach "Worth Your Salt" with patience and persistence. Strategizing to be the first to reach the final objective, or simply waiting for a fix, are the primary methods for overcoming this technical hurdle and successfully earning the rewards for this particular assignment in Arc Raiders.
